Come join us on Sunday mornings! We are currently working through the book of Ezekiel. This is a fascinating book of the Bible at a point in time when things for the nation of Israel were drastically changing. The people of Israel had fallen so far away from God and worshipping the gods of the nations surrounding them that God had to act. To do less would would jeopardize their relationship with Him forever. So Ezekiel prophesies to the people that they are about to be exiled from their land and lose their national prominence. Even worse, the city of Jerusalem and their temple was to be demolished.
But wait there is more! God was not finished with the nation of Israel. In fact the last half of the book is a prophecy about God’s plan of restoration of Israel. At first you might think, “This is historical information that doesn’t apply today.” That would be wrong. All throughout the book we have seen so many places where we can make application to life today. Also many of those prophecies about restoration have yet to be fulfilled.
